I
have been using the I Love Glam Powder Eyeliner and Eye Shadow for the past six
months and a review is long overdue! This powder eye liner and eye shadow duo
is from the “I Love” product line by “essence” which is a German cosmetics
company. Available in only one color – 01 Black, it can be used either as a
liner or eye shadow.

Starting with the positives, I just LOVE the color of this powder liner cum shadow. It is the blackest of blacks and ideal for creating the perfect smokey eye look. The kohl powder is highly pigmented and even has a bit of shimmer to it. Its applicator, called a flock applicator, is surprisingly very soft, flexible and bends to your will. If you are someone who struggles with eye makeup or a working woman who needs make up products that can be applied quickly, this is the ideal product for you as its applicator does half the job. Its shape and flexibility helps apply your liner efficiently and smoothly. This product is also suitable for you if you are one of those people who like applying eye shadow over their pencil or gel liners to lock in the product or to create a natural looking and soft liner.

On the downside, I found the
application of this product to be messy because whenever I apply it, I end up
with black loose powder flakes all over my nose and cheeks. To counter that, I
usually tap off the excess powder before application. Another option which I
found to be more effective is to apply my liner before putting on my primer and
foundation. This way I can simply cleanse or wash off the residue rather than
redoing my make up.

The Verdict:
Priced at Rs. 250, this product is a steal!
Go
for it if you are looking for a product that is:
- Pocket friendly
- Rich in color
- Dual purpose
- Easy to use
- Not tested on animals
Don’t go for this product if you:
- Want a liner that can be used on upper as well as lower lash line
- Find product fall out a nuisance
